Dexter is an asshole (contains spoilers)

I was watching the last episode of  Dexter's 1st season. DO YOU WANT TO SEEEEEE ME CRY? who the fuck would kill his own brother? eeeeeven if he really wants to kill your sister... you make it work. Have your brother arrested and everythings great again
This made me so disappointed and sad. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see the other seasons.
Did some reading-researching. I'm going to continue watching Dex, but I'm going to try to get the books.

 There he doesn't killll his brother. Which makes the books really good.
